Damien Suggs has over twenty-three years of experience in the IT Security Field, with expertise in various capacities. He holds twenty-one IT security certifications and has worked in crypto/blockchain, telecommunications, public sector, healthcare, and retail environments. Damien specializes in ethical hacking and penetration testing, focusing on testing web applications, mobile applications, IoT devices, cloud environments, network segments, and firewalls. He is proficient in Python scripting and utilizes various open-source and commercial tools for penetration tests. Damien excels in implementing comprehensive application security programs and establishing policies, processes, and procedures to integrate security practices into organizational culture.

He collaborates with executive leadership, compliance, legal, development, and IT personnel to address security vulnerabilities, enhance processes, and fortify the organization's security posture.

Previously, Damien was the ISSA Metro Atlanta Chapter president for ten non-consecutive years. Throughout his fourteen-year involvement with the chapter, he contributed to its growth in various roles such as Director of Membership, Director of Training, Conference Chair, and Chapter Secretary. Under his leadership, the metro Atlanta chapter was honored with the prestigious International Award of "Chapter of the Year" in 2011 and 2012. Damien was also recognized with the ISSA International Award of "Honor Roll" for the 2022 calendar year.
